What is the Australian Sewing Guild?
The Australian Sewing Guild Inc. is a national non-profit organisation for people who regard sewing as a creative and rewarding activity. Sharing the benefits and joys of sewing is almost as much fun as sewing itself. The ASG provides the latest sewing information and a friendly support network for all level of sewers, from beginners to advanced.
Objectives
To share and further the art of sewing
To bring sewers together and encourage the establishment of sewing groups
To encourage and maintain a high standard of craftsmanship
To organise selective special events that promote sewing
To network with and support ASG members, liaising with other Guilds throughout Australia and overseas
To have inspirational displays and advice stands at sewing and craft related events
Benefits of Being a Member
As a Member of the ASG:
You will receive the National Newsletter quarterly, which keeps members informed of the latest events and news, Group and Regional activities and more.
Have the opportunity to attend the ASG Convention which encourages sharing and furthering the art of sewing.
May attend any Neighbourhood Group throughout Australia (even when on holidays).
Have access to the ASG website.
Have the opportunity to be part of the ASG travel programme.
Will receive mutual support and inspiration from others.

Expressions of Interest
We invite you to become a member and join in the fun, sharing the creativity of sewing. You are welcome to attend two sessions at a neighbourhood group before joining the Guild. To do so please ring the group leader of that group to let her know you are coming. Additional information regarding the Guild’s activities, guidelines and membership forms are available from www.aussew.org.au

Membership Fees
The ASG Membership year is from 1st May to 30th April.
Initial Membership is $55 for full year
Initial half year membership (1st November to 30th April) is $30
A renewal yearly Membership is $50
Junior Membership is $10 per year (Under 18 years, date of birth required)
Student membership is $10 per year (18-25 year, copy of student ID required)
